Google Stadia Event March 19, 2019

Google wants to build a game platform for everyone.
Introducing Stadia
Developers want to Create, Scale and Connect
On YouTube you will be able to click a play now button and be able to start playing a game within 5 seconds. No download, no patching, no waiting.
Single code base can be used on any device. Phones, Tablets, PCs, TVs. There is no console to limit the game.
Demo of game play from device to device while keeping the exact location in the game. They went from Pixel Book to Pixel Phone, to PC, to Pixel Slate to TV.
You can play with controllers you already own. Google also has their own controller. The Google Stadia Controller.
The controller connects through WiFi directly to the Google Data Center.
Stadia Controller also has a share button, and a Google Assistant button.

Project Stream was able to deliver 1080p, 60fps
Stadia will handle 4K, 60fps, HDR, and they are looking to an 8K future
There is also a second stream that is going out at 4K, 60fps that can be shared with YouTube.
The data center is your platform. The idea is that the compute power in the Google Data Center will scale with the Developers needs.
Compute Power: PS4 Pro 4.2 GPU teraflops, Xbox One X 6.0 GPU teraflops, Stadia 10.7 GPU teraflops
Stadia uses Linux OS and Open Graphics API Vulkan. And has partnered with Unreal Engine and unity. Physics engine from Havoc.
Doom Eternal will run 4K with HDR at 60fps.
They are looking to handle split screens by using separate instances on each game. This will be called Stream Connect.
Style Transfer ML will allow a style to be applied onto a game.
State Share will allow a player to share a moment. This can be shared through a link on any platform.
YouTube is where people watch gaming. 200M+ logged-in daily active users watch gaming. 50 Billion hours of gaming content watched in 2018.
Crowd Play will allow you to jump in and play with creators. YouTube creators will be able to manage how this works.
Google Assistant will allow you, from inside Stadia, to get help on a level when you get stuck or need some advice.
Parent Controls will be available for content.
Stadia Games and Entertainment will work with partner studios big and small to make their games available on Stadia.

Stadia will launch in 2019 in the US, Canada, UK and Europe.
